Umpire Mentoring
There is a lot of positive and innovative activity from England Netball and Herts County happening around umpiring and WNL/KWJL are looking for Umpires who want to be part of this exciting time. Our league does not have a mentor workforce and we'd like this to change to support what is expected to be a significant number of learners (new umpires)on the new pathway to achieving their C awards.
So Umpires is this you and would you like to be part of an exciting, innovative time for umpiring?

The criteria for an IOA mentor is :

An online training workshop will be held on Thursday July 8th 2021. Time TBC

- A qualified C Award umpire with one year’s practical umpiring experience
Mentors should be:
- Enthusiastic and motivational
- Good communicators, listeners & have strong interpersonal skills
- Positive, encouraging and able to build self-confidence and self-esteem
- Knowledge about the rules and be prepared to keep up to date.
- Professional - a good role model
